Kathrein France - Safety Policy
In the dynamics of the approach of the integrated system Quality Environment and conscious of the importance of the safety, the Group KATHREIN set up, since 2004, for all the present companies in the matrix, a common agreement of management of the risks. This agreement takes into account the safety of the properties and the persons as well as the protection of our data and our know-how.
KATHREIN France had anticipated this approach in 2002 by naming a safety manager responsible for leading the security management in conjunction with the others managers and consulting with staff representatives. This approach is primarily based on the principle that everyone is an actor of his safety, the safety of others and must also ensure the preservation of the facilities. This is reinforced daily by the presence of safety mentions in workplaces that require specific instructions and in our documentary QES.
Developing the points already mentioned, the security policy now is structured around several themes:
- Strengthen the regulation monitoring to identify and satisfy the applicable requirements and the other requirements to which KATHREIN France conforms and who relate to its dangers in terms of Health Safety at work, in particular at the level of the REACH regulations on the recording, the evaluation, the authorization and the limitations of chemical substances,
- Pursue the development of the safety system based on the continuous improvement by neglecting no situation with risk,
- Improve the safety of the building by making the necessary repairs, in particular the repair of the roof and the improvement of the system of smoke ejection in the storage building,
- Pursue the training of the staff to minimize the risks linked to their activity and watch that the basic recommendations are applied to the specific posts,
- Perpetuate the activity of the company by applying and by updating the Plan of Continuity of Activity and by making sure of the redundancy and the protection of the "sensitive” company data,
Our management of the safety relies on a management system of the health and the safety based on the OHSAS 18001. The General management, during the management review, makes sure of the smooth running and the efficiency of the system.
The active and continuous contribution of each to this approach is essential to act in coherence with these principles.
